Phurba Tamang got his inspiration for music from his father. Currently, a student of music (vocal) at Lalit Kala Campus, his song Mausam is his observation of human nature and mother nature. Then, his song Sochera is inspired by his first love and he wrote it imagining what might he feel, if she is his wife. He says, "The fact that music can transfer our feelings to others and through which we can share our emotions and let them know how we feel inspires me."
